a few questions on my 92 tt, roof paint, wheels, rear calipers, shifter, spline - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

sorry for a long tittle thought id just combine all thses

1 roof paint. are all black roofs single stage or has mine been painted?

2 about how much would a nice set of used white RT/TT wheels cost? with/without tires, dont matter. and anybody know how much shipping would be for 4 wheels like that? mine are pretty nicked up.

3 about how much are used 2nd gen 2piston calipers??

4 if i understand correctly in 93 the stock shifter was shortened. how much was it shortend by? and how much used? and i assume thats an easy swap?

5 i read the other day that sometime in the 92 model year they made the switch to 25 spine out put shaft. anybody know what mine has? its manufactured in nov. of 91.

1. The paint was single stage in 92, they switched to a base/clear later.

2. Check the classifieds

3. Check the classifieds

4. Direct swap, check classifieds for used one. About an inch and a half shorter.

5. Only way to know for sure is to pull the transfer case off and count the number of splines. Nov 91 build date is possible it has one.

um also about the transfer case, is there not like a part number difference that might be stamped on it??

ugh! i know there were a couple more questions i came up with today, now i cant remeber them.

I thought that the 25-spline was introduced in 93 model cars (built late 92)

Nope, there are several 92's that had the 25-spline shaft as well. Any TT 3s with a production date after 11/91 COULD have the 25-spline shaft, but the production date is not a guarantee as some produced after that still ended up with the 18-spline.

i thought of my other questions.

what is the stock tint %?

also for my daytona it is common to use a larger oil filter, same diameter thread yadada only longer. the theroy is bigger filter flows more oil. is there such a filter for the stealth, that is bigger than OEM and still fits properly?
