Default f5m33v

according to what i can find

the f5m33v FWD tranny has a total capacity of 4.5 quarts, and needs 2.5 quarts of oil.

which is all good and fine...but...

how can you check to see if your oil level is good? is there a certain drain plug or bolt one removes and fills with oil till it leaks out said hole?

thanks in advance

i dont know a ton about those. but on the vr-4 i believe the fill plug is on the lower edge of one side of the tranny and once you cant fill it anymore without it leaking out of the hole its good.

hopefully that helps.

i dont know if Stealth 316 Home could help with the FWD side of the platform but there is a serious wealth of information on that site and its worth checking out

The drain plug is on the end of the tranny, facing the passenger wheel. The fill plug is on the front side of the tranny facing the radiator. The fluid should be level with the fill hole on level ground. I usually just overfill it and let it run out until its level.
