Default Exotic car power, fame, and us

Wow i just took my car to cleveland, and saw the casino giving away an aston martin car which base price is 200k+ with so little power 560 hp.

I understand all the leather are exotic, even tires, rims, brake rotor, pads were made by exotic material.....

But does that much money really fit that power ?

I think not. All that money for so little power, together with the highcost maintenance.....

I think i rather buy a 3s and shove 100k down it throat, just exactly what Stas, IPS owner is doing. Beef up everything to little detail, throw in an engine that makes 800-900 hp on 93 pump gas.....a beefed up drivetrain, expensive brakes and blah blah blah....

It became an exotic car with so much power, and cheaper to maintain. You can replace almost anything with after market cheap part later down the road, or continue using exotic parts.

I consider a built 3s to be Exotic because.

1/ they are so rare, not many people know about, and a built 3s look totally different than an SL, or NA.
2/ the body is so Aero Dynamically efficient....similar to exotic car.
3/ the built 3s packed with so much power...even more than a Manufactured Exotic car.....
4/ not many people can afford it....money wise (mod is different than auto loan)...knowledge wise.....because a built 3s owner has mechanical knowledge more or less.

What do u guys think?

Thats why Ive built my car. I drove a GT3, and was not impressed with the power it delivered. I already owned my VR4, so why not stick less than 1/3 of the money into it.

Whose engine does that?

I'd take the Aston. Exotic isn't all about speed, and no I wouldn't consider anything Mitsubishi makes to be an exotic.

well, theyre way easier to drive, much better suspension, much better chassis balance,

when i worked at the country club 4-5years ago, the one guy had a mean single turbo skyline and a Ferrari 430 and i asked him the same thing and he said that the exotics are just a lot nicer to actually drive while the skyline was like having to go to work to drive because of the massive amounts of torque surge, which was fun but not something you wanna deal with all the time. the exotics are just as fast because of good gearing and much easier to drive fast

skyline had the trunk space advantage lol so more often he brought the skyline, otherwise his clubs road shotgun

And the thunder rolls....

You guys must be nuts, if you ever drive a. Aston Martin you'll understand why they cost as much, there are no creepy noises, no suspension bangs, unless the windows are open you hear nothing but faint engine noise, you can litterally slide across the seats they are so soft, the seating position is perfect, everything about the car is just meticulously looked after

If you think a vr4 is in any way close to a modern Aston Martin car... Either you are smoking crack or you are a dumb ass bimbo from the eastern USA (jersey shore)

If I fucking had the 200k I'd gladly own an Aston Martin v12 unfortunately my last name isn't Rothschild, Hilton, Rockefeller or Morgan so unless I rob a bank or win the lottery I gotta do with my BMW or my shitsubitchy and that's ok but I'll never try to compare them with something they'll never aspire to be or intended to be In the first place.

Btw... 560hp is little power? WTF??????

560whp is one nasty ready to kill you at the first chance kind of power in any car, I have had the 600whp supra and have had the 240 with skyline swap, guess what? Scary damn things! And I rather be in an Aston seriously, there is a point where everything else is ridiculous, and 500 horses on the street is right there at that point, I'm pressed to know why you think 560 is little power?

^ No kidding. What a moronic post. May as well be a Civic post saying... "I can dump 10K in the car and beat Vipers".

The Juan Vinny: You have been a total nutswinger of 3Ss ever since you got your car back after a year of hibernation from IPS - only to make a puny 410WHP. They are great cars, but, to compare them to Astons? WTF

Well i like 3s in a way, also dislike it in another. I just dont see why exotic car is so expensive nowadays.

The domestic cars have also been very road shredding power, and not even as close as being that expensive.

Viper atr....
Saleen....
Camaro zl1 .....
Corvette zr1.....

Exotic car used to make 500+ hp while other has been struggling doing 300. I understand why it was worth the money. Handmade, craftmanship, exotic meterial, top power.

Now everybody is making 500+ hp and these exotic is the same....not improved....nothing impressive....only thing left is BRAND.....and exotic material......not worth it anymore.

It comes to the point that any other cheaper car can make as much power, or more. Being exotic material, and brand just make it expensive to maintain. Why do people still buying it.

Status simbol, unique, etc... It is not all just in power. Somebody before said good. You can buy civic, put 10-15k in engine and beat all this cars + vr4 with 10k in mods. But what is the point. Point is satisfaction. If you are satisfied with your vr4 that what is important, somebody with alot of money would not be satisfied with moded vr4 but he would pick brand new Ferrari, Lambo, or Aston. And where is the point. Point is that he is satisfied. That is all what matters.
We mostly like our cars and I personaly wouldnt buy any other sport car at the moment even If I had more money. Why? Because What I love is working on the car, learnig how to put engine together and be proud of it, even more, because I am not a mechanic but architect. And then come tuning/maping our car. And I am proud of myself that together with help on this forum I can understand tuning and try it on my car and get relatively good result. That makes ME happy, and not just buy a car and drive it. But everybody is different.

Because with these cars comes prestige. Oh, and the fact that you never have to test them for random boost leaks.

Its not just about pure 100% power. Its about the car. A lot of the "drivers cars" have never had stupid ball busting power and acceleration, its about the summation of everything that goes into it. Good example, go drive a stock nsx (not a worn out one) on a nice road with some good sweeping turns. Then drive your 3s. If you cant tell the difference .....

But either way you cant compare a camaro zl1, even with its 500+hp, built on an assembly line by fat union auto workers wearing wife beaters and flip flops to the quality of a aston or a ferrari.

Go watch the ultimate factories show on ferrari then watch the one for the z06 and look at the disparity between the two.

As far as the 3s being an exotic? You're delusional.
