Oo I know the smell, salamander. But I really dont think that it gets that hot to burn/melt the plastic off. It's not going to be in direct contact with the skirt so I wouldn't think it would get that hot.

But I don't know. I'm gonna figure it out tomorrow when I work on her.

Yeah, I think you would be surprised at the heat and how easily that plastic can melt. For example, we had an outlander that came in the other day and they back into a curb and bent the muffler up into bumper. The whole bumper had a melted ripple effect to it and this happened on spots that were at least a foot away from the muffler. As long as you can protect it from the heat, I like the idea.

Absolutely will not work. Pull off the sideskirt and behind it is metal. Behind that metal is the rear seat compartment. I dont think you want to route exhaust pipes thru the cabin.

Has anyone seen nelsons car since the TT ugrade on streetfire with the side exits, here it is, and yes it's been done before, although they may be up farther than what you are talking about... can you say a shit ton of heat rap though.

The problem is generally the same wherever the exhaust exits, the body is there, nowhere to route the exhaust. The body is too low there. So yes, I would still like to see pics of how it was done.

the pics i saw of it were in a thread for a car for sale in NY. it was a 1st gen vr4 for like 4500 bucks had 15gs, FMIC, and side exit exhaust. ill see if i can dig it up

edit: i also really really wish i could have bought taht car at that price!
