Default Easy way to drain Koyo Radiator

Seems no one put any thought into the petcock on a Koyo radiator. As it is now they come with a plastic drain plug that points out from the radiator rather than down like oem . When you crack it open to drain to dribbles out in ever direction and if you open it up even more you end up with a huge mess.
Anyone adapt a right angle petcock to it so you can attach a hose to it and drain it like oem right into a gallon container? Think I might make one if no one has a solution.

If it has pipe thread, you should be abe to get a small 90 degree valve for it, kind like the ones for your toilet water supply. Should be available in both 1/4 turn ball valve or gate valve styles.

Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt

A person who makes unnecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):

- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Body kit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performance intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some 3000gt's Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therefore not always considered rice, but it really depends on the severity of the case.

Uses this type of drain plug...and of coarse it's metric.

Looks like a little drilling and taping.

I would suggest something like McMaster Carr item numbers
5049K1 or 5049K6

On aftermarket or oem?
Cause with the aftermarket ones they drain as if your pissing into the wind, never know the direction it's gonna go.

its hard to find metric pipe threads in my experiances. My cousin who machines alot of things for me at his work even has a very limited metric pipe access. I would reccommend perhaps pulling the rad, and drilling and tapping a npt thread of your choice and then grabbing some fittings from the local sears hardware. Unless you can finde some metric fittings online or something???
