Default Dual Core FMIC - Gauging interest

I've been contemplating this for some time now and I'm going to start making one for my car since I'm doing an engine rebuild. Since I made a comment in someones thread I've gotten quite a few requests for it so I'm starting this thread to see if there would be much interest in it. I should be making one as soon as I install my motor which should be in a couple of weeks or so.
What this would be is a Dual Core FMIC that utilizes your oem stock piping in the engine bay or even better if you have DN Performance pipes like me. This will mate up perfectly to those pipes so you don't have to do any modifications to those at all. The size is basically two separate cores that measure 22"x3"x5 1/2" for a total height of 11". It'll have two 2 1/2" inlets and two 2 1/2" outlets. I feel this would be extremely efficient in cooling as your taking advantage of the entire intercooler and not just the bottom half like the larger FMIC's or ahve to deal with compressor surging.
I still have to figure out the pricing but a rough estimate will most likely be in the +/- $600 range making this extremely affordable.
How cool would this look to have TWO 2 1/2" Chrome pipes on EACH side opening!

I have kept my eye on this intercooler for a while and was going to do it because i spent so much money on my dejon y-pipe. I ended up wanting to go with a two in and one out intercooler. http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=INCO . I think these would work better for our cars. I am sure they would come down on their price for th intercooler. Just my 2 cents.

Can you get pics of the cores? I think for 600 bucks i would be intrested in the future. I definatly want to go with a FMIC but was considering making my own instead of spending the 1200+ everywhere else.

I can pm you a pic from my setup if that would be suffice. You should also price out having having the hot side pipes coated. Glad you decided to do the build, if you would like me to give you the flow specs and heat dissapation numbers for the core lemme know. M.E. is my thing. this is a great intercooler setup.

Yeah, that description does not quite make sense to me either.
I know they would suck to install but why does nobody run one of these?

Overall Size 27.00" X 12.00" X 3.50"
http://www.treadstoneperformance.com...5O+Intercooler
SOOOO much better then an end to end long core intercooler which accomplishes almost nothing after the first 8 inches....and about 3x the flowpath.

Only 399 dollars. I know ill pick one up when I swap my 2.5" piping intercooler setup to my daily driver.

Edit...cx racing also seems to have a huge selection with even cheaper prices on some cores.
