Pics left in their original 8MP size on purpose. Shawn (AlmosN8kd) and I just got done pulling both of my stock turbos when we noticed this. I just wanted someone else's opinion on this before deciding what to do. I'd really rather not pull the mani off of the car if I don't have to (the whole Murphy's Law thing) but I will if somebody that knows more than I do thinks it's best.

yes, i would say it appears cracked.
my front manifold cracked in almost the exact same location, altho it was a bit more egregious ![]() i did some digging and found other folks had the same cracks. this led me to purchase a new manifold from mitsu instead of putting a used one on. it's not a ton of money, ~$200 if i recall correctly.

Wouldn't you see black soot from exhaust blowing through? Unless it happened when the turbo was removed.

Doesn't look cracked to me. This is what mine looked like. I just had it welded up which was easy.

before you remove manifold, make sure and let some bolt antisieze soak on them studs overnight. they are so rusted they could break. you dont want that! j sin
