Depends on your tune... if you are running a stock ecu tune, eliminating a cat can be problematic... if you are tuning with say and SAFC, you can actually tune it to pass with no cats... cats are a band-aid for a bad tune

Only 20.5 psi on my lil' ol' GT368s with no water or alky injection With a wee bit more tuning, I should get it to about 22psi ![]() |

Stock tune. Car is basically all stock with the exception an intake and the exhaust. Only bought the exhaust because my stock system was shot.
Do you think I would be better off just not putting the precat eliminator on? (it comes with the exhaust) and just putting the downpipe up to the stock precats? |

As long as you have the main highflow cat in place and you make sure the cat is nice and warm, you should not have a problem. I used to pass MD emission test with no precats and the main cat in place.

I might have to do that, considering the last time I took my car to inspection they tried to put it on the dyno.
In all seriousness I don't think Im gunna put the eliminator on, Unless I get a rear precat eliminator too. |
