See my car has a K&N on it, which leaves a residue on the sensor. He used electronic parts cleaner on it, which is like pure alcohol in a can. It leaves behind no residue.

Mine misses only at idle. There is no miss when I stomp on it or just cruising. ECS? Whats that? Dang acronyms...

Oh, and I did adjust the TPS according to some directions found on here, its really easy. My bucking did not go away, however.

yeah..i'm not gonna adjust my TPS if it didn't solve yer bucking issue...but yeah, mine misses at idle as well...and mine also has an open element filter..i'm gonna have to clean my MAF for the hell of it now..hah..it's just a little needle looking thing, right?

ECS is the electronic controlled suspension...the sport/tour thing...at idle, my car makes all kinds of noises..like the ECS is switching from tour to sport..i never understood what it was doing...u know what i mean? the little noise it makes when u switch from tour to sport? well I can heari t making that noise at idle...so i'm wondering if the ECS computer (the suspension has it's own computer in the rear of the car) is messing with my main computer..

The box u pulled out was the SRS computer LOL! Hope the bags don't go off putting it back in.

If your ECS is constantly flipping the hell out, UNPLUG IT. That can kill your ECU.

Open the ECU up its behind the radio, under the A/C Controls on the back side of the console. Check if its leaking.

Unless your car is like mine. Mine doesn't idle below 1K. But thats because of other reasons

Just to add more variables to the equation . . . hope not off-topic. . . . I thought I would share this. Back in the Spring I put NGK coppers in my Stealth in attempt to fix a spark blowout problem. . . I thought it was my imagination, but it seemed to have more "miss" at idle with the coppers.

A couple weeks ago, I put the Iridium plugs back in, just for the heck it, and to my surprize the "miss" COMPLETELY disappeared. I am running 12 psi boost and love these plugs (NGK Iridiums). No blowout, no idle miss, no popping under deacceleration.

BTW my spark blowout was caused by plug wires.

has anyone thought of fuel lines or dirty injectores. Car will not run properly if it's not getting a clean drink of fuel. If your injectors are dirty it will not fire properly and you will have an up and down idle.

Yep, I have run seafoam the last tank, and this tank I put in Chevron Techron, it had better freaking work, it cost me like 8 bucks for a stinking bottle, lol.

Haha, you can bet your @ss I wasnt in the drivers when I turned the key for the first time, lol. I was in the passenger...

Duh, yeah I know what ECS is, just totally forgot. Mine seems to work perfectly.

Mine has Bosch Platinums in it that the kid before me must have put in, some dual tip ones. It also has CarQuest wires in it. I plan on replacing plugs and wires within the next week or so. Needless to say, those dang wires new arent cheap, thats for sure. We'll see what happens.

If you're really worried about dirty injectors, take the injectors out and have them professionally cleaned. Its not hard to remove the injectors and unlike those cleaning solutions, it actually works.

gray haze..you mentioned about the ECS flipping out...well, the tour/sport lights don't flash together which would indicate a problem..but ever since I owned the car, at idle, I can hear the ecs trying to adjust..I never knew if that was normal or not..and since the lights aren't flashing, I didn't think there was a problem

Well guys, I replaced the plugs and wires. Still a miss, still crazy idle, still chugging. Now I'm almost positive the IAC isnt bad: I took it out, screwed the pintle all the way out, put it back in, and left it unplugged, and the idle still went crazy!

Any ideas of where to go next would be great.
