OK so are the TT cars the same as the DOHC R/T cars? The ISC thingy I mean. There is another '92 TT Stealth I know of in the next town, maybe we could do a driveway swap to see if that is the problem. I'm sure he wouldnt mind. It sure doesnt take long to get it back out, a few minutes.

I might not give it back.

Looks like there are a lot of cars you could rob, (I mean borrow) one from:

According to dsmisc.com

same part is replacement ISC / IAV for your
: 2.0L Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser (1G or 2G), Galant VR-4 Pajero and Montero '88-'98,
: Hyundai Sonata ('94-'95), Hyundai Elantra '95,
: Mirage/Colt Turbo ('89-'91),
: or ANY Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 3000

EDIT: as I look closer . . . that site is a little confusing, it does appear that the DSMs and 3S are all the same, but the ones for 6G74 (3.5L) might be different. ANYWAY --> to answer question, it does look like ALL 3S are the same

well..yeah..sounds like it's my IAC..i figured, but i needed more confidence..hah..that's 3sfever...i'll probably just end up getting a new IAC in some illagitiment way..hah..i'm broke..can't afford that stuff..but for real, I could probably find someone to do a quick swap with me to see if it fixes it...I didn't realize all those cars had the same iac...i'll go to the jump yard and steal a bunch...hopefully one of them works...gotta love small parts..hah...

I had this problem exactly (among other problems haha)

It may not make sense, it may sound crazy, and it may not have actually been what fixed it, but when I changed my ECU caps to try to solve my idle problems (it didnt), the wierd ass back and forth jolting went away! I don't know why. There was nothing else I changed, but its been a couple months now and i can cruise in first smooth as silk.

Now if only I could find time away from school to get all my other car problems sorted...

Don't know if this has been said already, but check your TPS adjustment (ideally with a logger). With a logger you should see an "I" under "Flags" if the idle switch has been triggered.

Reason I'm saying this is because when I'd adjust my TPS as per manual instructions, my idle would bob up and down from 800 - 1000 rpm. I checked my logger and for some reason the idle switch wasn't being triggerd. Then I adjusted my TPS so that I'd see the "I" (idle) flag and then my idle was rock steady; no more bobbing up and down.

your car is 16 years old? honestly expect to do some maintainence

and check that ECU!!! get it checked out by the best. You must make sure that it is in perfect working condition or you can spend ALOT of money chasing down bugs and replacing things you never needed to.

I had mine repaired only to find it would tach freak when warmed up... annoying as hell.

They idle perfect for those that can afford to maintain them.

DD - sounds similar to my issue - I just did a TB refurbish and sealed it up (O-rings etc) and set the tps per manual. Intake pressure is tight now - But still getting the idle surge. I have the Scanmaster 3 on order - but they are out of stock for a couple of weeks they said.

I assume you had to go counter clockwise a little more with the TPS - will try it this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.
