have you done anything with the throttle body? I think it's something to do with the TB because the TB would have a lot to do with allowing the car to warm up (adjusting air/vuel....choking basically)....if it's not doing that right, it would explain why the car runs like crap at first.... what have you tried thus far to check it? i always thought it was because my IAC was bad, but i replaced that and it still does it...it's just really annoying when i'm cruising through traffic...if you hold on your throttle around 2-3 grand, does it pop and miss? try it...just put it in neutral and barely lay on the gas...mine misses, and this is what causes the car to wiggle and jerk about...but if I nail the throttle, all is well..i don't get it... |

I'll give that a try in neutral.
So far, I've replaced plugs and coil packs, injectors, and I've pressure tested. The other thing I can see making a difference warm or cold is that the car goes to open loop mode when it warms up. Maybe you're onto something with the throttle body. I just can't think of much that would cause a miss at low load and be fine at higher loads.

94 N/A
My car does this exact thing: runs fine, except hesitates and jerks under low acceleration. Here's what happens: I go about 30mph, shift into 4th, and try to accelerate. Just cruising is not a problem, but once I put some gas into it, it starts hesitating. Also does it when starting in 1st from a stop. No problems at WOT. I checked my ISC today. One of the coils is bad so I loosened the BISS a bit to keep an idle around 1000RPM. ECU looks OK (It's a 94) but I'm replacing the capacitors anyway. For anyone needing a new ISC/IAC: Get one for $72 here new: RockAuto Parts Catalog Part Number AC99

i read through this a little bit..it doesn't sound like the exact same problem I am having... i've recently replaced my ISC and ECU caps....still misses. I even tried unplugging the ECS computer to see if it was messing with my main ECM...didn't change anything.... |

i just went outside to see if my misfiring problem was in between any certain idle speed, and it's not....it's only when i'm light on the throttle...however, I did notice that it does miss a little during high idle...it's kind of chilly out..so the high idle was approaching 2k when I started it...it was missing a little then too...it's just a little gurgling/bubbling sound coming from the exhaust at idle, but still noticeable...but yeah, i tried 1500, 2500, 3500...it misses....
