Default datalogging - Diagnostics Port, Diagnostics mode, fuses??

I have been having trouble getting my HHH datalogger to work on my 92 R/T TT, and someone told me somthing about swapping fuses around to get the car to go into diagnostics mode? Does this sound right to anyone? If so, how exactly is this done? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any fuses that you can change to make this happen. In order to put the ECU into diagnostic mode on an ODBI car you need to short pin 1. Check out this page on stealth316 that talks about reading the codes out of an ODBI ECU.

Do not short pin 1.
To put the ECU into Diagnostic mode ground pin 10.
You do NOT have to go into diagnostic mode to read the codes, just follow the instructions in the link Andy provided.

Now that that's cleared up, I hooked up the HHH with my laptop to my '92 R/T TT with no problem. No fussing with fuses or anything at all.
What kind of set-up do you have and what problems are you having?

hey, thanks for the help everyone. My setup is pretty basic. its the HHH with the palm pilot and all the cables for the first gen OBD1. I hooked up red, green, and blue to the pins that the instructions said to hook to and The palm pilot doesnt read anything out. there are just a bunch of dashes next to everything like how it would look if there wasnt anything hooked up. The ecu is reading that there is somthing there because of the ABS light.

oh yea, and the program is MMCD.

Thanks for correcting me, I meant ground and for some reason said short. The funny thing is what would you even short it to since I just said one pin . Thanks for correcting it though.

Hey everyone. I figured it out, i feel stupid, the connector going into the Palm needs to be held in because its kind of loose.
