Any full color change will cost you over 3000.00 to have done. Custom paints will cost more. I priced the sherwood green pearl at the paint shop, 78.00 a quart ...although i can get it for 65.00 online. The chameleon flake will cost me 245.00 for about 5oz.
Today i regret stripping off the flames, the rest of the car looked great with medium teal pearl mixed with 3 types of custom mini flakes. In the right sun it would flash like a rainbow trout. But spraying the flake was a pain to clean the gun afterwards, always clogging the tips. Still, it came out alot better than i thought it would.
If you're really serious about looking at options and colors, order a paint chip book from House of Kolor (I've got one i've had for several years) or the other paint manufacturers. It allows you to view all the different color combos, even when sprayed on different basecoats. (I prefer kandy's over silver metallic, rather than over black) I gotta admit though, i really like rootbeer color, and candy apple red (the only red i like)

i liked my brother's old GS300 with onyx blue. it looked black at night and pretty black during the day, but wherever the sun hit it, it was a deep blue. cool stuff. if u want something to stand out, go with what warlock suggested. chameleon colors always stand out, but they tend to shift thru some ugly colors. like the mustang, i like the blue, green, but the purple makes it ugly.
you could always do a 2 tone. a couple of combos people rarely do, and i haven't seen on a 3s, is red, blue, or green, on silver. i'm not talking racing stripes either. look up Blant's car and you'll get an idea. he has red with black and a middle white stripe that looks really good.
