Default Cianci front strut bar - can't close hood?

So I got one of these 3 point front bars and put it on my 92 vr-4. The hood will close, but it doesnt want to and when i get it to close, there is a gap between the hood and fender on the driver side.

Anyone have to modify one of these to clear the hood? I am not sure what is even hitting.

Thanks!

No one else has had an issue with hood clearance. Cianci tested everything before they even went into full production.

It isn't on backwards or upside down by any chance is it? Sounds silly, just a thought. Perhaps you got a lemon, but being mass produced I wouldn't tend to think so.

I had the same problem with mine too on my 91, i took the heat shield off then had to use a rubber hammer to bow in the Vein of the underside of the hood. then i put the heat shield back on and it's great now. try that if removing the heatshield doesn't give enough clearance.
