My used 3SX downpipe arrived last week and am just waiting for the gaskets to get here. I have a friend who purchased a small old shop with a bunch of friends so they have a place to work on their cars. He said I can use his lift to put on my downpipe. Great, only problem is that it's an old single post "H" style lift. Not sure how to brace it up to get it on this style of lift. Have any of you put a 3000GT or Stealth on this type of lift. Any suggestions?
Thanks guys! Bunk

Hmm that might be complicated when it comes to unbolting the cat. I used one in highschool and it worked fine as far as bracing. try it out and see if the arms reach. just make sure you lift on the unibody/frame and not the body pan, or from the plastic molding.

Scroll down a little to see the single post lift:
Google Image Result for http://www.fournierautoequipment.com/pics/wp_inground1.jpg It should work fine but as chargerx3 stated, it's tough to work on the exhaust. |

I emailed him and I tried to find a picture. He said it's and old "H" style single cylinder lift that is from the 1930's. I assume it's the same ones we had at our old Ford Dealership we owner. Take a couple of small "I" beams and weld them up into an "H" shape and the cylinder is mounted right in the middle of the "H". Now I'm not sure how I'm going to get this car up in the air to work on. CRAP!
