a friend of mine said a few years ago: If Dodge locked their dumpsters at night, Ford and GM wouldn't even be able to make trucks.

What's with the 1970s arcade game steering wheel in this (and in the current mustang as well)?

The dash and cluster design are ugly but the exterior is nice.

I doubt this car will "save" GM. I'd say 60-70% of F-body's sales are to young buyers that get the base version with cloth seats and a V6 engine. With $4 gasoline and a tight economy it will be hard to sell them.

The guy that can cut a check for $35K for the loaded V8 version will still do it but there will not be enough of those sales to make the car profitable.

3 Models for right now, 2 V6 versions, and a V8. The V6 will have 300hp and V8 will have 400 or 422 depending if you get the manual or automatic (manual has more power).

Actually, the V8 is only going to get ~2-3mpg worse then the V6. The V6 is rated at 26mpg with 300hp, and the V8 with 422 is rated at 23mpg, the same as a GT Mustang but with 40% more power.

Me, I am indifferent about the Camaro. I'd rather have a Challenger, I think they look better IMO, though I would take a Camaro if someone gave it to me

wow, it is even uglier than the concept somehow. I thought they maxed out the hideous scale before, but I was wrong.

What's the curb weight?

the interior litterally reminds me of some rusting 70s chevy that was in the junk pile up at my dad's farm. That or a 78' Ford enconoline van.
