I was rotating my tires. (was just tightening up the last wheel lock on the side i had just done. and the part of the bolt that goes onto the wheel lock slipped off under the pressure and now wont lock into the little clover thing. Where would i go to get this either fixed or get it replaced. I think if i can get them off im going to stick to no wheel locks. They are a pain in the ass.
Any help would be appreciated. `Spencer

this happened to my old Stealth. Take it to a tire shop or dealer, they should be able to get the old lock off (if its still on), and you can either get a OEM replacement set, or a new aftermarket set at any autoshop.

This happened to me 2 weeks ago. I went to a dealer and they had one in stock for $20. No tire shops or anybody had the lug or had a tool to get it off.

They are a PITA i agree, i lost my wheel lock one day and couldnt take off the tires for 6 months because i never got around to going to the dealer and doing it. Usually if im correct, if they take the wheel locks off they might damage them to the point that you wont want to put them back on.
If you ahve the serial number that came with the wheel locks you should be able to order the key again if their MITSU ones. Thats what the guy asked me last time they had to take them off and put a new set on.

That is how its done. Dont hammer too hard or you will be replacing the stud as well. Maybe not such a bad thing, im sure is rusted from its age. |

Well. I used the kit to get one of the wheel locks off. I didnt have the 1/2 inch addapter that they needed so i used the impact gun. which just made it so the lock was so torqued into the piece to get the wheel locks off that i cant get it out. so im going down to a shop soon to just get them to take it out. and im just going to get a hand turn 1/2 inch adapter and do it by hand
