This will be my first BRG but now that I have a decent running car that is kinda fast and handles well Im really excited. I wonder if I should try to hook up some power steering for this or not..... I kinda like my car without it but if we are going really slow around hard turns its gonna kida suck a little.

That's actually a very fair statement. the type of tire you have directly effects your braking potential. They are both equally important, however common sense and knowing your car (REALLY knowing your car) are the most important things to have and do on a mountain road. Even with sucky brakes, you could "survive" on a mountain road, but if you wanted to go fast, you would need to have more tricks up your sleeve than Houdini

Blah...I was hoping to drive my car down there but it's going to be a 1500 mile trip. I think flying down would be half the price of fuel plus less days off of work.
