One difference between all the cars it beat is that its AWD and a damn good AWD setup at that. Look how fast EVO's are at auto-x and on a road course. MUUUUUUUCH easier to get every bit of performance out of the car compared to a high strung twitchy rwd CGT, GT2 or Koen-wtfever-g.
Its definely good, but i wonder how a 500hp Evo would run the ring with 275 wide RE01R's on all 4 corners to throw another AWD car in the mix.
Im mildly impressed, but its still too effing ugly and with how shitty Nissan has gotten, i wouldnt want to own one.
Jason
Probably still not as good as the GT-R does it. Keep in mind, the GT-R might be AWD, but it's also RWD. The only time the front wheels kick in, is when it needs them to. The Evo doesn't have nearly as advanced an AWD system as the GT-R.

The turbos on the new GT-R are integral to the exhaust manifolds, so no, they wouldn't. Though you might be able to get the same turbo, just in a more traditional housing. But as far as a direct swap from a GT-R, forget it.
its underated horsepower from Nissan
its putting down near 480awhp stock on the dyno
and another 20+ awhp added when Mines attached their custom exhaust.
A dyno can nearly spit out any number its operator wants to see. The 120ish trap speeds show its real power. From a roll on, a mildly(i mean very very mildly) tuned Vette would pull one pretty hard.

Now if they can design a really nice body kit to give it a little better looks, we are ALL good
As long as the body kit is as aerodynamic as the actual car. The GT-R has a coefficient of drag of 0.27 which is extremely low and but one of the many reasons it is so goddamned fast.

I must agree that the GTR posting quicker times then those high end super cars is impressive but I would think the ring is the absolute worst place to compare different car's performances. Since its so long doesnt driver abilities and the sheer luck that you dont screw up once in the entire 7min lap kind of mess up the times? Like if one driver can corner .1 seconds faster then another driver the course is so long that becomes a big deal. And not to mention last time I looked up lap times for the ring they are missing a bunch of very high end cars.

wow. 11 second flat quarters, 0-60 in 3.2ish, and you figure a basically stock (as in 'mildly tuned') vette can pull one 'pretty hard'?
I don't see anything in those numbers that tell me it's a dog from a roll. Even if it's only 480 horse, the performance numbers speak for themselves.

hmm do you know by any chance what a new mustang gt coeff drag is. Cause there front end looks like my rear end.
