I was curious to see how fast I could go from 0-60 in this car, Ive never tried it before. I decided to give it a go tonight.
This video sucks and is very dark. I might try to get another video, maybe not, I dont enjoy beating on the car to much. anyways I count maybe 3.5 or 4 seconds? notice in the video I rev the rpm's up a little b4 take off. The wheels spin and cause a little vibration, hard to keep the cam steady. I know I could make it faster without spinning, and I was worried about braking the wheels loose in second gear. Ill have to get a rider to hold the cam so I can watch the road. Can you guys count and help me decide how fast it is 0-60? just dont start counting when I first start to rev the engine because I didn't let the clutch out. http://www.s3squad.com/downloads/3000gt/1.wmv anyways thats fast enough to beat a stock VR4 ![]() stock vr4 0-60 = 0 - 60 mph : 5.4 seconds 0 - 100 mph : 13.6 seconds (stock times) by the way, I should be getting a full set of Maximal solids lol. for reference I can run about a 12.9-13.0 quarter and only hit a 4.2 0-60. To do this FWD or street tires would be pretty hard.

well the tires do spin but I can control it, and it was late and the roads were cold.. My shift from first to second wasn't the greatest.
I know I could do a faster run if someone else held the camera. But like I said, I hate pushing my car, It's a very reliable daily driver. I dont want to put anymore money into it before I sell it lol. |

your Speedo might saying your doing 60. But i doubt you are. Wheel spin.

I counted somewhere btwn 6-7 seconds. To get to 60 you almost have to go to 65.

Our speedos read notoriously high...and thats even if you weren't spinning. On top of that, I count at least 5 seconds from when the speedo starts moving to when it hits 60.Don't EVER make videos of you beating the shit out of your car when you are trying to sell it.
