Unhappy Bad news...

(updated with pics)
Our '94 SL is most likely totalled.

On the way home from work this evening my g/f got clipped on the highway, took out a pole, and a ~20ft. section of guard rail.

The kid was in a 96 Chevy pickup and hit her rear bumper on the driver-side, just before the highway splits into another highway (so basically a "Y"). Sent her towards the middle of the "Y", which is a good 5-6ft. drop into some trees. So she cranked left, fishtailed, and ended up nailing a light pole with the passenger rear quarter, and somehow took out the guard rail on the opposite side of the road with the passenger side of the car.

Ended up sideways in the middle of the 2 lane highway with her freshly filled gas tank pouring gas all over the ground. The kid took off and left her there. She called the cops and me. The cops got there and blocked off the highway completely, the kid ended up coming back, and then I got there.

Fortunately, she doesn't have a scratch on her, just really shook up from the whole thing.

The cops didn't let me go up to the car to get pictures or really get a look at it. Probably because of the whole light pole down / 20 gallons of gas on the ground thing. I'll get pics up when I can though.

Updated for pics:

3000GT vs pole @ ~40-60mph

Door cap and side skirt are MIA...

This is where she ramped up the guard rail...

I'm incredibly sorry to hear about that, on the bright side though she is okay and you can attribute that to the car, even if the car is what took the brunt of everything.

Hopefully it isn't totaled, and if it is, hopefully you will be able to find another great 3kgt and maybe even upgrade

Its good that she is alright. That kid is lucky he came back, what a dumbass thing to try and run away. To bad about the car, but cars are replaceable people are not.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. There is full coverage on it so hopefully things won't work out SO bad. That car has been around for the last 7 years or so, a lot of time and money into it. Oh well, all that matters to me is that she's okay.
