Re: Apex AFC Neo: Confirmed Programming Bug - Karman Function Doesn't Work
I feel like I have been noticing more and more people on the boards with fuel mangemnt devices and no wideband sensor...
I would be in constant fear of my car exploding... but I guess if you have a relilable car, and a reliable tune, then there would be no need to worry...
I am goig to stick with my controller AND wideband plan though.

The reason I never got one is because when it was dyno tuned, they had a wideband that they put in the bung, tested, tuned, removed and replugged. But rest assured, its in the works...

Re: Apex AFC Neo: Confirmed Programming Bug - Karman Function Doesn't Work
So this was the main issue, and it has been successfully resolved? So there isn't any problem in the function/operation of the Apexi SAFC neo with 3/S? I don't have the stock air sensor anymore, so would I have been OK even without the fix?

I believe as long as your after market air sensor was not a Karman style you would have been fine without the update.

I was thinking that too. BUT, with a non-karman & translator type setup (which is all of them unless using standalone ecu), wouldn't the neo be seeing the amplitude-translated-to-frequency based (karman) signal from the tranlator? Wouldn't the neo think it's still hooked up to a karman type sensor? I mean, you'd want your crude corrections BEFORE the fine adjustments, I'd think. It's hard to believe that the neo would do better still seeing a karman-type signal.
If an amplitude based (non-karman) air-sensor output was fed directly to the afc, what does the afc output (and can you change it?) and will the ecu recognize it? That is the question. This sounds like a topic for Jeff L. It's all very scientific
