relax. next time do some research. new products almost always have bugs to be worked out. you would have been better off buying an SAFC-2 since it wasnt really "new"
then again the knock monitoring function didnt work so apexi still blows

I was under the impression that this is over a year and a half old. If thats true then I think its a long enough time to have discovered and fixed this show stopper of an issue.
Re: Apex AFC Neo: Confirmed Programming Bug - Karman Function Doesn't Work
So over a month later and nothing.
I just ordered my meth kit from Labonte Motorsports and I am going to need a working AFC before I can play with it when it gets here.
Erik, noticed one thing this afternoon comparing the AF signal from the scanmaster to the reported number on the NEO the NEO is always higher than what the ECU reports as the Hz signal from the MAS. Whatever.
Tried to get a SAFC 2 from another guy today but it was fried for one reason or another. Atleast the SITC works. Well hindsight is always 20/10 so as of now I am done with Apexi products. I have to take a hit on this one but never again.
Re: Apex AFC Neo: Confirmed Programming Bug - Karman Function Doesn't Work
Update:
A new firmware was evaluated by the manufacturing folks today, and there was a snag - don't know exactly what, but some details provided sound like it's not a BS excuse.
It seems the President of the company is involved at this point, presumably to get the appropriate resources attached to this project. I know the US Apex folks "get it" that this needs to be fixed no sooner than last month.
The plan proposed right now is that they'll have a new firmware available next Thursday, and I'll get my unit reflashed shortly after that. Once I have an updated unit, I'll connect it in my car (it's all ready to go - just have to turn the screw on the AFPR to get the fuel pressure back up) and test it with my datalogger running. It will be readily obvious if the new firmware works or not. In the best case scenario, the firmware gets approved next Thurs, they reflash my unit (already in CA at Apex), they overnight it to me, and I test it that weekend. If all is well, the reflash goes into production the following week. That seems to be the best case schedule - keep your fingers crossed.
Re: Apex AFC Neo: Confirmed Programming Bug - Karman Function Doesn't Work
Sounds like a plan.
Guess my meth kit will be here sometime early next week. I can read up on it and see where everything is going to go and send of my neo when the reflash is approved.
