Android OBD II data logging app - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

I stumbled upon this and couldn't find any threads on people using them on their GTO/3s's so I wanted to start a discussion on what you guys think of this app, its called Torque. With an OBDII bluetooth adapter you can log straight to your android phone.

So, as someone who has never used a data logger, how does it compare to the other 'purpose built' loggers available.

Damn, if I didn't have a hybrid ecu, this would be a cheap datalogger.

if it can log knock with everything else they are showing it could be handy.

edit: Just checked the developers site, it can log knock counts so I will definitely be checking this out in the future.

That's pretty awesome for OBDII guys. If I wasn't hybrid I'd offer to try it out. Seems like it's about as full of features as a normal OBDII logger, but relatively cheap and easy to use, not to mention convenient.

The only things is different about the hybrid ECU connecting is pin 15 and 1. Have them swap and it will connect.

On the developers site, he states that the more expensive adapter is preferred, as the cheaper ones from China are said to be "affecting reliability, and causing strange things to happen like engines refusing to start". So, do you guys reckon that its safe to use, since this is a relativly new program, and bugs might still be present. Just dont want to damage any electrical components on my GTO.

You'd be the first so I doubt anyone here could tell you. Guess I have something to look for when I upgrade my phone now though.

I did not see knock count logging at all.

That's pretty cool, I wish it worked on OBDI and with an iphone. Though I do want to switch to an Evo, still can't get past that ODBI hurdle.

I'm with Duttch on the knock, I stopped it when it had all of the measurements displayed and knock was not one of them.
