Default Active Aero time out...

Ok so i took the time this weekend to tear down my rear wing. I greased it, installed new roller switches and she worked great...for 15 seconds. It seems that from the time i put the key in the ignition (not even turned) that i have 15 seconds to play with the wing and set it up, down, up, down...you get the picture, but once it hit the 15 second mark i hear a relay in my trunk click and whatever position my wing is last at it stays at. if i try to move it nothing will happen until i turn the car off and insert the key again.

There are no physical hangups. it moves fluidly, but it just seems to shut off after the 15 seconds. is there a relay that is causing this? how do i fix it?

thanks for your help guys.

Is there an issue with the front AERO? Does the AERO light appear on the dash?

I had a similar issue with my car and it was the front air dam binding. It would allow my rear wing to move until it realized my front air dam was stuck. I took the front dam off and greased/lubed it up and it worked again.

The front aero was removed, or broken before i got it. its still there, but i dont know how much is left. i know the motor is there and maybe an arm or two. ill have to look into it. where is the active aero computer located? also my active aero light does not appear. im sure its burned out...like some of the others.

k got it heres what it says 2 ways 2 check.

1.Turn the ignition switch from off to on. If the unit is in normal condition, the warning light is lit for approximately three seconds and than goes out.

2.With vechile stopped, insert key into cylinder. Set the active aero switch to auto2, make sure that the indicator light comes on. Then turn off the active aero switch to confirm that the system returns to the standard condition and the indicator light goes off

thats what the service manual says
