Default Active Aero question

Did some work to get the AA working properly. The front aa works perfectly, but the rear wing stuck with its leading edge pointing towards the hatch.

Replaced the microswitches and a couple of things in the rear motor mechanism - but didn't fix the problem. Seperated the power supply under the hatch glass, and hooked up 12v power, and the motor works fine.

Only thing we can think of is the rear wing part of the active aero control module might have fried or something when it locked down. All wiring and fuses has been checked, and everything is good.

Any suggestions??? Seems like the only thing left is the module - but the front is working properly.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Sorry, but you say you hooked up a power supply, did the wing move?

If so, I'd agree with your assessment of the controller....

Bob.

Thanks for your response. Yes, when we hooked up a power supply, bypassing the AA Module, the motor ran properly and the wing moved properly.

Don't know much about the control module. I'm assuming there is a front aa component and a rear aa component to it.

You do not have a manual?

If not, I can try to supply you with "snippets" from it...

Mine has the same problem and was the module. I change it and now is working fine!

Did you replace the white wing clips as well?

No, I don't. But I do need to get off my butt and purchase one somewhere. It would probably save me alot of time and headaches.

Thanks for the info. At this point, that's about all we can think of - so I'm actively seeking one.

Yup, replaced those and the limiter switches with new ones. Cleaned and lubed everything. It's working with direct 12v power bypassing the module - so I think that's got to be the culprit.

Just as a side note. I have a spotless vehcile, work hard at keeping it that way. I almost had a heart attack when we pulled off the wing. At both the outer and the single inner attachment points - it was filthy under there. Was - not any more.
