9b's for 13t's

I have worked out a deal with a guy to trade my stock 9bs for some 13ts and wanted to know if it would be worth it? We are trading straight up. My plan was to send off my 9bs to Turbo Bob in January and have them rebuilt to 15gs. What are your opinions? I have a FMIC, electronic boost controller, blow through set up and will be adding injectors soon. Are the 13ts more capable to be rebuilt as a better turbo? Would I be better off just sending off my 9bs? If could get some quick opinions I would appreciate it. This trade is supposed to happen today.

Are they converted to fit a 3s? 13ts are about the same as 15gs. They spool quicker and have a little more power up top I believe.

With a proper set up, 13Ts will net you mid 400's at the wheels, high 400's nipping at the 500 wheel HP with E85. (record is 501 AWHP on a mustang with E85)

For comparison, stock is around 245 AWHP and a proper set up pushing the oem 9bs will get you into the low to mid 300's.

I guess what I am after here is would I be better off sending my 9bs off to Turbo Bob and getting them upgraded to 15gs, or sending in the 13ts and having them redone? I want to stick with one turbo and be done with that setup. I dont want to install the 13ts and then want to upgrade to 15gs later because they are a better turbo. I will post pics of the 13ts and hopefully you guys can tell me if they are upgraded for 3s. The guy said they came off of his 3000GT so I assume the upgrade was done. The only thing that is shying me away is 15gs would be direct bolt up. It seems you have to cut your rear mount to make the 13ts fit without hitting? If I decided to sell the 13ts in the classifieds how much could I get for them? I would use that towards my 15gs.

They are in the stock 3/s turbine housings, yes. However, you're going to need to figure out a wastegate setup, and figure out the ic piping.

The wastegate setup could be a pain in the arse. The IC piping did not seem like too big of an issue because the only one that will be affected is the rear turbo correct? The rear IC pipe bolts to the turbo and that will not be possible witht he 13t. So i planed on just using rubber coupler and a new tube instead? It sounds like I would be better off just sticking with the 15g setup? Are these 13ts worth anything?

The end all question is would you guys stay with 15gs that bolt right up or would you go with the 13ts?

Since they are so close, whichever is the cheaper option.
