Ok heres the deal. Linchpinjoe from the boards contacted me requesting ecu flashing ability for 98 99 vr4s because tuning them is a pain in the ass on piggy back due to the very nature of OBD2 and the MUT language mitsu uses. The code is cracked, im working integrating it with an opensource program. Joe is going to sell them and organzie a buy. i need to write the software and get some help finding the PIDS for some of the sensors so we can manipulate alot. LATER in life you will have the ability to add different maff units and flash tune them in yourselfs. I will not be selling tunes, i will be giving people ability to tune their own cars. If you dont know what your doing ,,dont try it. You are messing with factory hardcode. I have very little time as many of you know and joe has shown the most interest in getting this done. He is your point man. I will be doing this as cheap as i can as a package because of the low number of cars done, its difficult , especially with the software writing. So im trying to modify open source to keep the pricing down. It has been done as testing by me in the past. I just dont have the all the PIDS yet. more to be posted by JOE
Has anybody tried the EcuFlash or ECUTEK that they use on Evos?
it will not work. Different sensors, different number of cylinders, blah blah blah. You have to understand, flash tuning really isnt universal. you have to configure the software for the car.
I'm going to need as much info in regards to how all this flash tuning works, by anyone. I'm motivated to help us 98/99 guys but my tuning experience is little to none.
Just called ya Dennis
