Default 516whp 20psi SOHC Dyno, 91 octane + meth

Clogged Fuel filter has been causing a bunch of problems. Fixed that a few days ago and started pegging my wideband rich. Didn't feel safe dynoing on the street so I went to the dyno.

Going to Vegas this Friday the 13th to race. Traction will probably suck since its not very warm and its the night races. Anyone in the area should come out :P

I ran out of wastegate spring. 0.4 bar spring. It will make 23 on the street but only 20 on the dyno.

Tired and probably not sharing some info that would be helpful.

Ondonti's+516whp+%40+20psi+dyno+run+

Here is my Zeitronix datalog of a run. I have a stock n/a ECU and a rising rate regulator. Thats why I cant rev any higher and why I have my cams advanced to fatten up the powerband.
Only tuning we could to was add some base timing (adjustable sohc distributor)..added 4 degrees so my base timing is 20 instead of the 16 it was at. Only gained 7 hp and lost 2 foot pounds. Then took out some fuel and gained another 7whp and gained probably 10ft/lb more torque.

Messing with the base timing sucks because it loads up the midrange too much and then I cant add extra up top.
Stock base timing is 12 degrees but the 7.0:1 compression doesn't like 12 degrees timing!
Motor is pretty much 100% leakdown (excessive clearances, especially on #4) and combine that with the 7.0:1 compression and I think that hurts power a lot. I think my compression is too low to try to run e85. I just don't think it will run. I do think that I can probably run 30psi boost with 91 octane and the 2100cc's of methanol i am spraying. I just wish I had higher compression. I ordered pistons long before e85 was cool.

Plans to gain power include finally megasquirting the motor so I can rev over 7000, unadvancing the cams (only 1 cam per head so there is no fancy timing to be done).
I think I can make peak HP near 7000 rpms and that alone will pick up hp at the same boost. Higher compression motor and good clearances are not in the budget right now. If I had more motivation I would fix the upper plenum runner diameters, I screwed up and they are only 1.38" inner diameter. I am wondering what my current bottleneck is that causes torque to drop off.

12v heads ftl?

My friend posted up the video and pictures so they are not on my accounts. I dont really feel like editing a nicer video myself yet. TIRED! :P

cast crank, balanced. I think this is pretty much the only place where that fact is notable.
Chrysler 6g72's have real harmonic balancers on them so I hope that along with the expensive crank balancing helps it hold together. I wonder if the rods or crank will fail first. Just shot peened stockers. Only advantage I have is that I have less drivetrain losses so my rods will put down a bigger number before failing. The fact that I make the same torque as HP probably doesnt help though

Nice numbers, but yeah as you mentioned FWD DTL FTW, that and Dynojet numbers tend to be the highest of all dynos. Even still it's stout.

And still running a stock ECU....truly awesome man.
Although I am a "disser" of the 12v motor with some money and RESEARCH into it there is nothing stopping anyone from having a BEAST of a motor.
Once that new ECU is in you will love it.
Friggin hell....I want a turbo

Great numbers Ondontii, Dang 500 ft-lbs of tq? I hope I don't make that much on my build cuz my clutch only handles 500 ft-lbs. You did a good job on your build bro

Thats great to hear. I know you have been working on this set up for a while.Seems to be paying off.Man I can only imagine that the 7:1 is HATING low timing.12deg?? Are you getting knock with something more reasonable.(this is me assuming you are pulling timing because of knock or fear of head lift?)
O.K. base timing is 12deg. I was thinking that was low.Used to V.W.s where you can run 17deg on 91 and upwards of 21deg on 93oct.that little 4deg of timing makes a huge difference. You can actually feel it.

Love watching your car spit out better numbers every time you fix one of the things that's driving you nuts.
