I've always been curious about the 8A80. Looks like its going to come to the US in 2007 so it'll be easier to get but its less than 2 inches longer than the 6g72, i wonder how easily it would swap into a 3S considering the 6g72/4 is used in the same car as it.

Hopefully Hyundai will bring it over, but I'll believe it once it's done. Obviously, anything is possible... however given the dimension specs and that it's an option swap with the 6g74, I'd assume it wouldn't me much more trouble than the 6g74 (electronics, trans, etc. not withstanding).

Realistically though... there are probably better options, but it is the only mitsu designed v8.

wow... i've never read anything about the 8A8x engines... sounds pretty cool... guess we need ray to build a stroker kit for those too!

5+ liters of turbo charged 3/s here we come?
