It was a crappy cold and drizzling rainy day today, but heres my report:
Great friggin car. I test drove the V6 coupe and was invited to come back in 2 weeks to drive the 4 cylinder turbo.
The best thing off the bat was the handling. Super responsive to my inputs and it held the road very well for the conditions. It should be known when I test drive, I beat it like a rental...
The paddle shifters were fun and the way the auto shifter is set up, you can slap shift it too. Power band was really good. Off the line was rabbit fast. While at about 60mph I hammered it and it almost felt like turbo lag, lol. But a couple seconds (milliseconds in real life) she kicked it in. Of course no test drive of a sports car (and that whats she is) would be complete without a challenge from a Mustang GT and a Cavalier SS. I had a friend in the car, so I was careful about it, but crushed the SS and walked the 'Stang. Its a powerful motor for a light car. Imagine the Honda Si with a real motor.
Speaking of motor, the exhaust is nice and throaty with a bit of a rumble. Not what I was expecting. I went into it thinking Tiburon on roids. My bad. Fully decked out with the track package is a hair under $30k. The turbo will be just under $25k.
Roomy cockpit, great instruments and the same backseat that we are used to...nothing. However the trunk is about 4x bigger than ours. The car is classy looking, like the BMW 7-series, but faster imo and half the price, plus much better warranty.
I'll post up my thoughts on the turbo (in this thread) when I test drive it acouple weeks from now.
Discuss. I know theres a thread about this already, and I read some of it, but didn't know if anyone had driven one yet. I couldn't believe a 2010 model was out already.

PS I'm 6'2" and 230lbs and there was PLENTY of room in it.
