some info on the hennessey 600 kit:
Hennessey Viper Venom 600 GTS, 1998 Viper Venom 600 GTS | Conceptcarz.com - Pictures, Pricing, Information, Wallpaper, History according to the info given there, note that the venom 600 was only available in 98, 99 it was the 650r. it is of course possible they just purchased the badging, but somehow i doubt it. i'm thinking a possible hacked account or perhaps just plain fraudulent particularly once i started looking at the feedback.the price is good but not amazingly low, so it may be legit he has a phone number, give the guy a call, he encourages folks to come check out the car, which is a good sign ![]() *edit* i also noted no vin listed, i would get a vin and run a carfax before you do anything else, save yourself some time. it's not the end-all of making sure the car is ok but it's a start. also if you do go to see the car, check a couple (i.e. more than one!) of the vins on the car and make sure they match the paperwork, make sure everything matches up */edit* Last edited by chansigril : 07-04-2008 at 08:09 AM. |

If you can afford it and it is not your daily driver yes i would make the jump. IMO there is not many cars sexier than a viper GTS. The torque and power deliver is amazing.
It does get a little hot inside the car on longer trips, and insurance is pretty expensive. Would i get THAT viper? No, i gurantee that thing has been in an accident or beat to shit. Why would someone go out and buy all new chrome wheels, tires so on and so forth. Spend a little more, there is a black on black acr gts viper for around 37k. Dont skimp out when purchasing a viper as you will get what you pay for.

This is NOT a GTS-R. It's a Hennessey. I wouldn't touch any car he's modified. Then again chansigril has a point as well. Had it been an actual production GTS-R I still wouldn't want it. I'd take an ACR but what I really want is a 1998 or 1999 Orca GTS-R. The real deal.
