I'm wondering why its a 92 for the 1991 race. I don't know much about the whole pace car thing except they have one every year and have always assumed its the same model year as the year of the race. Probably just a time of year thing and they may have setup a few 91s and apparently at least 1 92.
Anybody have any guesses as to how much this might sell for? I wish it didn't have big dent in the drivers door I wish it didn't have several other things but its supposed to have those (pink is not ftw) ![]()

That is probably one of the rarest 3s's we will ever find. It was probably the only car made for the PPG ad campaign and from the looks of it it is in great great shape (minus the door dent). Look at the paint, it is super glossy and it doesn't look like anyone has cleaned this car up seeing as the inside is dusty and dirty.
How do we know it is a 92? I thought 91 was the only year you could get the TT without leather?

cloth was an option on other Stealth turbo years. rare, but on occasional 92s and 93s. Profit on 3si had a black/gray cloth 93 RT TT. As far as VR4s are concerned, I am not sure if 92+ had cloth as an option.
I do think that in 1996, there was one Stealth turbo with no options- my guess would be cloth, no sunroof, 17s, no ABS, but it would have had power windows lol

Up for auction, I am not selling it just sharing the ad.
Champ Car filed for bankruptcy March 5 in Indianapolis, after its owners agreed to a merger plan with the Indy Racing League. The last Champ Car race was held at Long Beach last month. The inventory of Champ Car assets in the auction is being updated daily. For a complete list, go to GALLIVAN AUCTIONEERS & APPRAISERS - Auction Details. 1992 DODGE STEALTH, 3.0 LTR V6 TWIN TURBO, ALL-WHEEL DRIVE, 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, ROLL BAR, 4-POINT SEAT BELTS, FIRE EXTINGUISHER SYSTEM, STROBE LIGHTS, 8,496 MILES, VIN# JB3XE74CXMY000030 Nice looking car except for the ugly pink trim. Someone on 3si buy this and preserve it.

I wanna see more pictures of that thing. What's up with the body kit? Was it custom made for this car by Dodge or something? Looks ineresting.
This sure would be a nice piece of 3S history to own. It'll probably go pretty cheap too. Pace cars usually aren't worth as much money as you would think. My guess is between 20 and 30K.

Great find! I'm going to e-mail the listing to the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, in hopes they'll consider acquiring it as part of their collection. Last time I was there, not only was there no Stealth at all, but it was even omitted from their company chronology of models throughout the years. I brought it to the management's attention, needless to say!
I did get a few cool pictures of my old Stealth TT in front of the museum, though.
