that is NOT the official indy 500 pace car...that car is still at the speedway museum in indy.

this is a 1 off ppg show-car. i love it impeccably. paint looks like it would match perfectly in someone's garage next to a 1998 corvette indy 500 pace car. i love everything about it! haters can "hate", but this is a piece of 3/s history. i only wish i could own something so wonderfully rare.

perhaps deft can make us this front bumper and sideskirts.

I signed up for the auction and was going to bid $2,000. When I entered my bid it said Auction was over
Oh well, I hope the 82 custom pace car gets relisted. It had no bids along with the indycars with no engine.

it went for $7500 I would have bought it for $2000 shit id buy just about any TT for $2000.

we established that its not an official indy (or any indy) pace car on the first page of this thread. It was never stated to be an indy pace car. Thread just says pace car. And you are correct that regardless of what the car looks like it is VERY VERY rare. I tryed to check the vin number in a couple things online and nothing ever came up.

If I had known it was that cheap, I would have sold my car to get it. I hardly drive mine anyway, and this car regardless of color combo is an 8,500 original mile TT. It should be worth a lot more than $7,500, no?

this car never had anything to do at all with the indy 500. I was thinking it would actually sell for a little less because not many people are knowledgeable about these cars. But it seems like most of the stuff at this auction sold for more than I thought it would. If that car was bone stock not being a pace car with that miles it would be worth around 10k minimum. Being what it is I still think its worth way more as a collectors item.

$7500 is a great deal for a TT with that low miles. BUT........ it did NOT come with a title... So I guess you could swap the vin info from another frame and try to do it that way. Otherwise your not gonna get to drive the car on the streets.

Wasn't that what I implied? And isn't that basically the exact same thing I said in an earlier post when explaining the reason for my low guess?

you just said didnt "start" the 500. there are like 50 of every pace car used for the race where only 2 of them actually pace the race.. But they are all still official Indy pace cars. I think many people are assuming since were in indy that this was a 500 pace car, just trying to keep it clear to everyone that its not.

Your right! Sorry, I didn't even think to read it that way, I can see how it could be misleading.
