I noticed a few people talking about using composite head gasket instead of the MLS. Is it considered better? Seems counter intuitive.

I cant imagine it is better (maybe someone can chime in on there experiences with the composite HG's) but i have always used the Mitsu MLS gaskets and now with the A1's things seem to be doing well..

Is there room to run a small a/r t4 exhaust housing on each turbo? The 6765 can pick up huge numbers when you run a t4 housing. The giant bore it takes to run a t3 housing ruins the nozzle area of the scroll (makes it huge) which does allow for decent flow but loses velocity therefore t4 housings of similar a/r spool better. You can go up in size on the t4, spool the same, AND make more power. They still make hp gains when staying about the same size a/r.

Whenever I get around to working on cars again I am ditching my t3 .63 housing in favor of something like a .96 t4 housing (but for a single I have not decided to build twin scroll and divided housing). While I saw AWD motorsports make crazy power with a t3 housing, the general trend I have seen is 5-10% hp gains on a single turbo. First person to clue me to this is a builder at Heffner (Aaron) who plays with turbo dodges.
