Default 11.5@125 Stock SOHC on e85 and 22psi

The Junkyard's $90 Motor runs 11.5@125- Video

Stock 12 valve motor (stock heads/cams/shortblock) with O rings superglued to the paper gasket (used gaskets!). Seals better then the POS cometics and was free.

22psi and ran out of fuel. Apparently tuning pulls in 4th gear don't mimic a full traction 1/4 pull with slicks.
Popped a cylinder at the 1/8th and still gained 31mph on the top end.

Still thinking about whether I grab some 10:1 diamante oem pistons or grab another junk motor. I want to run a 10 on stock head/cam/shortblock 12 valve stuff and then go deeeeeeeep 10's with my built heads/cams on a stock shortblock.

Driving could use some serious improvement. 1st run shows how bad I shortshift. 2nd run was better driving (except the 3-4 shift) but the motor was already hurt.
Worst 60' ever also!
Expecting low 1.6's instead of the 1.78 I got. Suspension straps broke again on the back so I need to rethink my design.
12 valve is not junk. My car is junk.

BTW, this was all done with just a rising rate regulator and meth injection on an n/a ECU. No ability to tune the car beyond turning the dials on those devices. RRR is why the fuel system craps out cause I see 100+psi fuel pressures. 6200 rpm limiter still.
My MSII is still being worked on and I am way too busy to fix the car yet or upgrade the fuel system.

Not too shabby!
Woulda been better if it survived the one 11.5 run. And the civic didn't beat you. That was one mean civic. 10.9 wasn't it?

Oh, is this the same engine that he has been running and it finally popped? If so, then disregard my previous comments. that is impressive even if it fainlly popped. It went thru some beatings.

Congrats!

Damn, that sucks about the engine man. Good thing it wasn't the built engine. if you need any help just let me know and I'll be glad to come over and lend a hand.

It ran 11.9@117 with no meth on 16psi. Lots of street pulls. Pushed coolant at 24psi so I did a ghetto O ring into the stock composite gasket. 22psi at the track. The O ring did work and that contributed to pistons going bye bye.

The problem is that the fuel system had NO buffer zone. So on a full 1/4 pass the fuel pump was bound to start bogging down.

It hit 14:1 according to my passenger on the 2nd run. I never watched on the first run since there is water on the track at the 1/8th and I wanted to go straight :P
Lost the datalogs too

$90 dollar motor. Dang cheap for the fun it had. Shouldn't have popped but I was being cheap on the fuel system.

Very impressive times! 14:1 is sure to kill any engine under that load though, you need to rig some sort of alarm to the Zeitronix for lean boost warning.

Would be interested in some pics of your suspension straps, was thinking of limiter straps for the front of mine.
