I have a 97' 3000GT SL, and I don't know what the previous owner did, but where there should be a switch on the door, there is just two naked wires hanging out , on both the driver side, as well as the passenger side. I found the switch on the 3sx website, Switch In Door Jam for Lights*-*Mitsubishi 3000GT*/*Dodge Stealth Parts (http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_viewItemBundle.asp?idProduct=27397) , but I am not certain it will work. Just contacting the two wires does nothing , and there is no plug as the wires are naked, so I don't currently have a way of attaching to the switch. Does anyone have any suggestions or previous experience with this? Any help would be really appreciated!

Turn signal flasher problem

Turn signals on my '91 RT/TT began blinking very slowly and then quit altogether. Searched threads lastnight to locate the flasher unit and thought I read a post where someone had a similar problem and replaced a resistor in the flasher unit to correct it.

I've checked connections and can't find anything obvious. I really hate the thought of spending $50 at Cherry Hill (and really don't want used) if I can spend a $1.50 at Radio Shack.

Anyone know this fix or recall the thread. Wish I'd saved it!

Advice on installing dual cig/utility plug

I'm not good with electronic knowledge so I'm asking for it.

I bought one of those dual (or triple) cigarette lighter/utility power ports awhile back and now I wanna install it. Its going under the passenger side dash close to the center console. So my first thought was to just splice it into one of the the cig lighters from the center console, but not sure how much draw they can handle before popping a fuse.
I won't be using the one next to the AA switch and the cig lighter I use for my iPod FM transmitter/recharger thing. I want the utility pod hidden to clean it up. I would be using it to power my GPS and cell charger (which i don't use often, but want it there in case.

So, should I just splice into whats there? I've seen some go straight off the battery, but can't that cause interference from the alternator?

Any and all CONSTRUCTIVE help is appreciated. I did use the search, but couldn't seem to narrow it down enough to answer my question.

Thanks!

Heavy Shift Knob?

I'm having some troubles looking for the shift knob that is just Perfect. In my old z28 i had a que ball shifter, i loved it. It was heavy, made shifting very precise and i'm starting to miss that feel.

So far i've tried stock, a cheapo auto zone shifter, and an evo leather shift knob. So far none have got that feel i'm looking for.

If anyone knows where i can find a good quality, heavy ball/queball shift knob for the 3s i'd be greatly appreciated. The closest thing i've found is a machine shop that will make evo shift knobs out of steel, but they're priced out of the stratosphere!

Anyone find any seat covers other than the leather and cloth that have good fitment on our cars? I have a 99 and I love the interior seats on the subaru wrx. They are like a mesh neoprene type material. I dont want cheap $20 covers that walmart has. I am looking for a legitimate cover that either goes over the leather or if I took the leather off I could replace it with this...

Ticking sound from dash

The car ran good on the way home when I bought it. Now when I got in the car their was a ticking noise from behind the dash where the power mirror control is. I found where it was coming from, its a little box. When it does it the lights in the dash, and the turn signals flash. It does it even when the key is out of the ignition switch.

The passenger window in my car is stuck up. I checked the window lock button, but that isn't it. The motor has been replaced. Could it be the switch that is bad. It doesn't work or even make a sound with either switch. Could use some help.
