These cars have heavy clutch pedal feel when the clutch booster IS working even on stock clutch. Get yourself a bov out of an evo. Its metal, doesn't leak, oem fitment, and pretty cheap.
Do a boost leak test and you'll surely find a ton of issues. Clutch boost check valves leak a lot. I just capped mine off
