So a guy is going to look at my A/C system...
Lets be honest, I know enough about most engines to get myself out of trouble. Most.
However, A/C is something I never learned/got into. Why would I? One not a fan of A/C, I'm a windows/top down kinda guy. And Massachusetts rarely gets the heat needed for me to use the A/C...
Anyway, awhile back I knew I had a leak somewhere in the system, so I bought one of those 12a to 134 conversion kits in hopes the valves were the issue and call it a day. Yeah, that works for about 2 weeks at a time.
Now I get that red dot on my climate control. I haven't tried putting anything in in over a year tho.
So a friend of a friend fixes A/C. First thing hes gonna do is flush the system, which I never did because I didn't have the equipment necessary. Then hes going to fill it with freon and leak detector and have me drive it acouple days and bring it back.
One question that perplexes me that he asked is, does it have a dryer. I have no idea. I thought if you have A/C you have a evaporator and a dryer. He asks this right after asking what year my car is.
So that my question to you, does a '94 VR4 with a stock A/C system have a dryer?
Thanks,
Butch
