Just posting as i've never really seen a write up on doin this...
So, as I was not happy logging with the Hybrid setting on my '96 VR4, I decided to do a little experiment and see if I could successfully swap a hybrid 95 ECU (MD192589) into my car and log with the Mitsu setting. I know some people have swapped a hybrid ECU into a 96 without swapping any pins and having it work, but I actually got a service manual out (thanks to neverenoughhp) and swapped about 7 or 8 pin assignments and grounded 4 other wires coming into the ECU (O2 heaters). Car seems to be functioning fine, and have no CEL's. Good news is, EvoScan is humming right along at about 60 samples/sec.
Heres the data:

As you can see, its not a total 1 for 1 swap. Heres the wiring changes made:
Valve open/close indication signal:
Route pin 7 to pin 35
Fuel Pressure solenoid:
Route pin 40 to pin 7
Electric Load Switch:
Route pin 58 to pin 24
Muffler Mode changeover switch:
Route pin 61 to pin 34
Turbo Meter:
Route pin 39 to pin 41
Engine Ignition Signal:
Route pin 51 to pin 58
Front O2's are the same
Rear O2's:
Route pin 73 to pin 60
Leave pin 79 at 79
(have not verified I can log these, probly cant)
For Pin 73 EGRT circuit, i wired in a 10 ohm resistor to ground to prevent the CEL light since I have no EGR temp sensor. I will eventually use this to log a WB02.
GND O2 heater (cut the wires and grounded the wires coming into the harness, there is nothing connected to these pins on the ECU side):
34 - left bank front
35 - right bank front
42 - left bank rear
43 - right bank rear
I ended up just grounding all heater circuits, as this is what the wiring diagram showed for the '95 MFI circuit. In the 96 they were wired to the ECU for some reason.
Also, I had a boomslang harness I used for installing a SAFCII (which I did after the ECU). I cut the wires on this harness to save from having to screw up my stock wiring harness and it worked out quite nicely.
