1st gen datalogging info
First, I am so sorry to ask this general type of question, but I have been searching for days without getting the results I need(TONS of topics about datalogging!). I am sure it has been discussed, but I cannot find where.
I am doing extensive upgrades soon, and would feel a lot better about the whole project if I knew what I need for a datalogging setup. I found the software I need is called MMcd, but that is all I know. Here is a list that I am sure someone can help me with:
1.) what types of Palm Pilot (ie: model numbers?) run the software? And if available, where to get?
2.) What type of cable would I need? again, where to get?
3.) what is a reputable source for the MMcd software?
4.) Can I use the scanmaster 3 setup alone or does it require a logger as well?
I am concerned with logging/watching knock, A/F, Injector Duty Cycle, TPS, timing, and load. I have read loggers report false IDC readings on 1st gen, has this been fixed or worked around?
Thanks anyone who doesn't mind helping! Or if someone has a link that would provide this info that would be greatly appreciated as well! I just spent alot of money on the car, and I am looking to avoid buying a palm that is more than i need, or cables that I won't use, etc...
Thanks,
-Eddie
