Before I light my car on fire
I undertook doing the 60k and 3rd gen lifters myself. Long story short, A bolt broke off in the front head and I took the head to a machine shop. they got it out, I slapped a new head gasket in and continued reassembling stuff, no big deal I thought. I did the timing properly (trust me, I have checked the marks about 40 times. Front and rear square/triangle all line up and the crank little indent lines up with the fin on the oil pump.) I try to start my car, but it sounds like the timing is ass. It wants to catch every so often, but it's mostly just cranking sounds. I replaced the leaky caps on my ecu, and wound up replacing the PTU. I made sure that with piston 1 @ TDC the CAS mating marks were lined up. There is fuel, as every time I take the plugs out, my entire garage smells like gas. There is spark (correct me if my logic is wrong... I saw arc on all 3 front plugs and seeing as how each coil connects to a cylinder off of both the front and rear banks, then I should have spark on all cylinders.) There are no CEL's and every fuse (driver foot area, and each fusebank on either side of the engine near the front of the car) is good. I tried adjusting the CAS while cranking -> no change. Also, no start with the MAF unplugged. Am I missing anything, or is this car just cursed?
