Dude I am almost 28 and I am far from old.
As for your question. Ride comfort and coilovers dont go hand in hand. I love my coilovers and the ride is far from terrible. Others might not agree to this testament but its my opinion.
Coilovers might be only marginally better in ride comfort because they are valved for the spring rate, etc.
