Hey, my 90' model GTO is in the shop at the moment. Initially it was in for some new synchros and bearings in the gearbox but then the the mechanic told me the output shaft was worn too. Through much turmoil the shaft is now being resplined which shouldn't cost too much. I am a little worried though that this shaft may break at some point in time as I do intend on upping the power.

UPDATE: 2 months later the OS snapped in two.
