i have had similar problems with 2 3000gts ive owned . before i would invest in tranny repair i would dop a test to see if pulsse generators are working properly . you can run the codes on the computer hookup under dash with a diagnostic meteer and it will tell you if you need new pulse generators or possibly an tcu hopes this helps tom
