Re: TruBoost Post-install question.
The hose that comes off the back of the plenum toward the firewall is perfect to t'ing in your boost gauge line for the controller.
You can adjust spring pressure lower if you want, it will slightly increase the time it takes you to build up to your set boost pressure as you take the setting lower and lower. Most people run a low setting though to offset lead in boost spike.
You adjust boost by increasing the axx or bxx setting, so you just simply increase the number for that boost mode. You are actually increasing or decreasing the duty cylce of the solenoid for the boost mode when you adjust that number. So increaseing A10 to A25 is actually increasing the duty cycle of the solenoid from 10% to 25% for boost mode A. Duty cycle range for the controller is 10% to 90%, so your lowest value would be A10 and highest value would be A90.
You cannot run lower boost than wastegate pressure, so nothing less than ~6-7psi. Also this is why as you slowly increase the duty cycle for a specific boost mode you won't see a change in boost pressure until you reach a duty cylcle value large enough to increase boost pressure over wastegate pressure. If I remember right you should start to see an increase in boost pressure somewhere around a setting of 25% duty cycle for stock turbos. But always just start low and slowly increase the duy cylce. I used increments of 5 until I hit about 9psi and then slowed to smaller incremental increases until I found my target boost setting.
