HKS EVC 5 (KPA)
pros:
1. Easy install
2. No vacuum tubing coming from the engine bay, all wires.
3. No boost spikes
4. I got in perfect condition for $100 so I can't complain about price.
5. Easy to set boost and hide remote controller
6. Very nice display with digital and graphic display of both boost and vacuum.
7. Very attractive and fits PERFECTLY in one of the center dash vents. Small controller fits really well in arm rest.
8. Spool seems much better than MBC I had before.
cons:
1. Settings do not seem to relate to actual boost results, although the manual indicated they would I probably am not understanding something. I.e. a setting of 42 apparent KPA will yield about 14 PSI (~100KPA)
2. Reads in KPA, so you have to convert the numbers a lot if you are used to thinking in PSI. There is a PSI version available too. For some reason they didn't make it a setting.
3. Has typical HKS(Japanese

) interface where all the settings require you to figure out various combinations and sequences of the 4 buttons on the unit to do what you want.
4. I am sure New cost would be prohibitive.
