Right now it has Mobile 1 5W30. It's either fully synthetic or the synthetic blend. My mechanic put it in so I'm not sure exactly what it was. When I replace it again I'll probably use Redline 5W30. I had that in there before and liked it.

I know many people on here use heavier oils and say it reduces lifter tick but I read a really good article on here on the subject of motor oil (not sure who exactly) and it recommended "thinner" oils for more flow/lubrication when cold and at operating temp.

Also, now that I've topped off the oil, I think the tick is dying down again. It could just be my imagination... I really hope you're right that it's lifter tick.
