Correct. The stock O2 (jap spec) is replaced with the AEM wideband, in the same hole. Jap spec cars only have 2, one before and one after the cat. 2nd O2 is just to let the ECU know that the cat is working. It is under the carpet somewhere, as it has no cat anymore. WBO2 is in the same hole as the one the ECU used to take notice of for mixture control.
PT settings are all off now, but for example, I had:
TPS at 0.64, coz idle position is between 0.59 and 0.62
RPM at 1408rpm, cold start idle is just slightly less.
Idle AFR was either 13.5 or 14.5, doesnt make a diff.
Gain, I've tried anything from 15 down to 4.
PT tracking makes everything go squiffy. With PT off, it works
a lot better, and is a whole heap more tunable. PT just buggers it up.
I have been fiddling with this for almost a year now, and I think I know the system pretty well. My original idle problems were the same as everyone elses, and turned out to be a software bug with respect to the TPS tipping in on idle TPS fluctuations. I reckon there are several more bugs to be ironed out of this thing before it becomes "useful". The latest thing I've discovered is that it isnt only the TPS which fluctuates. RPM and baropressure are sampled rather coursely too. I thought I had excessive interference on all signal wires, until I scoped it. All within acceptable limits, but the MAFT Pro seems to be sampling and using raw values. Lets not forget that the stock ECU works brilliantly in every respect, including sampling and cleaning up input signals, without losing response time and accuracy. I dont want to sound negative. I think the MAFT Pro is a good tool. I just dont think it is ready yet. There is a reason that the AEM ECU is $1600! It works out of the box.
Still not wanting to sound negative, I've spent a lot of money on this car. New hybrid turbos, fuel pump, injectors, intercoolers, etc. etc. etc. The only thing that is letting the side down is the MAFT Pro.
If you are still reading this, thank you. I have a suggestion. Why dont TurboBob or a another developer go to a fresh install who is having mega problems with the setup, and set it up for them. I think this would be an excellent R&D excercise??? Not everyone on this forum is a muppet, which seems to be the assumption if they are having problems.
I feel better now. lol
Paul.
