the difference in weight may throw off the center line. the OEM crank is built specific for the internals and by matching up a crank not meant for your internals(especially ones that are worn) it will not be evenly weighed for each journal. the counter weights are specific for each journal and the newr crank may have different weight inits counterweights... theres alot more to it but that was my 5 second help
